Refund Policy

Attendance and make-up classes

The Introduction and Wedding courses allow 1 make-up class out of 7, and the Professional course allows 4 make-up classes out of 40. To request a make-up class, please fill in the request form and give it to the school manager at least 3 days before the make-up date.

An absence notified on the day counts as a class taken, whatever the reason.

Refund of course fees

Course fees are refunded according to Article 18(3) of the Enforcement Decree of the Korean Act on Private Teaching Institutes.

The same refund rules apply if a student asks to cancel because of illness, injury, another emergency or a change in personal circumstances.

Academic performance and conduct in class

Students are expected to attend classes, complete their class work and reach reasonable learning goals.
If, in the teacher's reasonable opinion, a student has not taken part satisfactorily or has not reached reasonable goals, the school may not allow the student to continue the course. If a student leaves the course in this situation, refunds follow Article 18(3) as above.

Certificate

A student may not receive the McQueens Professional certificate in any of the following cases:

  • The student gives up the course part-way through
  • The student is removed from the school for behaviour that harms the school's reputation, or for poor effort, diligence or conduct in class
  • The student misses 10% of the course (4 classes) or more

Course fee discounts

Anyone who has taken a course at McQueens Flower School Seoul gets 10% off the fee for all classes except the Professional course. Students who take a class together with a family member also get 10% off. Please mention the discount when you pay so that it can be applied.

Trips, activities on and off site, and medical care

Students agree to take part in market trips and in activities on and off the school premises, and agree to first aid or urgent medical treatment being given if needed. Students agree that the school may give the prescribed medication or first aid it considers appropriate, and that they may receive medical, dental or optical treatment if needed.

It is important that the school knows about any welfare need, medical condition or disability, so that students can be cared for properly. Students also agree to tell the school about special diets, allergies or other medical conditions that need special arrangements. If a student arrives at the school without having told us, the school has the right to ask the student to leave the course or (where possible) to get private medical or psychological treatment. The cost of such treatment is paid by the student or by whoever pays the fees.

Cancellation for medical reasons follows the refund rules described above.

Damage to property and penalties

Students are responsible for the cost of any breakage, loss or damage they cause to the premises where they are taught. The school may impose reasonable penalties or fines for breaking health and safety rules, such as the smoking ban, or for other misconduct that breaks school policy. The school is not responsible for students' personal property.

Liability and jurisdiction

The school is not liable for the death of or injury to any student, except where caused by the school's negligence.
